Last night my bride refered to some of my friends as Cronies...now that was a first. Sort of like having your eyebrows and ears trimmed for the first time.
I realize that I'm gradually slipping into this modern maturity and liking the semi-retired thing but Cronies...hell, we're still trying to figure out which ones are the sidekicks. I suppose it feels good when the waitresses refer to us as "boys" when we go for lunch...
Raining here and cold today and don't feel like doing anymore barn work so I'll go have lunch with some of the Cronies.

you should get a motorcycle with a side car for Susie to ride in. that would show her.

Beefy...it would be like the tractor and snow machine..she always wants to drive...
Heck...she drives no matter what seat she's sitting in
I chalk it up to my humility training.

You know they think your old when they start calling you Mr. and your last name.

OMG. This happened to me in Del Roi when I was fishing. I went to eat at a Chilis and the waittress, who was as old as I am, kept calling me sir. She carded my wife when she ordered a drink.

I understand what your are saying...

But I to this day I still use Mr., Mrs., mam(sp?) and sir even sometimes with people younger than me but definitly with my elders.

My grandfather would kick my but if I didn't.
