Sporting goods store down south of me about 30 miles closed up.
It was the only source of black powder within a 100 miles.
Guess I am going to have to order 5 lbs and pay the hazmat fees.
Black powder shotgun goes through a pound pretty quick about 90 shots.
I really like hunting with one. Number 11 percussion caps are as rare as hens teeth as well.
Guess I will have to convert my smoke poles over to 209 primers what a pain.

Caps are easy to find here, I would have never thought they would be hard to get anywhere.

years back before i had the 209 primer shooting guns I used #11 Remington caps and those suckers were hot never had a misfire out of those but the freakin german caps in the red plastic pack sucked... many loved them but they were not my friend. I did not see any 11's this year now that you mention it.

I had a nice buck crap on me about 5 this afternoon.
Just couldn't get the rifle on him trotting through the yaupons.
My fault just carried my inline rifle this afternoon as it was drizzling rain.
If I had my 12 gauge front stuffer it would have been a different story.
