We have used it both to sell and buy. Only used it one time to sell cattle but it worked out great. Anything for sale, include a photo of it. And a phone number, a lot of people would rather call you than email back and forth. Security? Just common sense. Suggest you only accept cash. It's supposed to be for a local market so if you get people contacting you from far away or even outside the country, be suspicious.

I'm not crazy about putting my phone number on the ads. Last time I put a car on there some red dot called me around midnight wanting me to drive the car to town and let him look at it.

That's why I only put down my accurate email address.

OK, now for a dummy I'll use yours

When we were selling the cows my son sold a bunch of em. I asked him where he was finding all these buyers and he told me that he had put the cows on craigslist. Must work.

He uses it all the time.

i can never find the stuff I am looking for to buy.

the quality of most craigslist cattle is suspect to say the least. However these people have a good marketing program their starting price is higher than real quality cattle are selling for, so they have room to come down in price.

my bro uses craigslist alot.he has bought 2 or 3 used hottubs off it.as a matter of fact he bought a used hottub from it last week.an went to look at a riding mower that was on there.but it had probs so he didnt buy it.as for cattle on there.most of them are trader cattle i dont care what the ad says.

Even a trader would have more pride than to advertise most of those cattle that are for sale on craigslist. I'm guessing most are bought by hobby boys then starved to death then they want to get their money back and ask ridiculous prices for their half dead livestock.

Steve LIVES on craigslist. Be warned. For some it is addictive. We have sold animals on there, and Steve likes to barter and there's a section for that.
