i have a cow that calved 2 days ago. the calf nurses off the back two teats because the front two are large & full. will these be ok or do i need to do anything about it?
dont want her getting mastitus or something. thank you.

It kinda depends on "how large" they are. If they are too large for the calf to suck i would probably milk them out and cull her before she calves next time letting her raise the current calf. MOST of the time when the calf grows a little he will start nursing all the teats.
 
Yes most definately milk them out, but you must realize you may have to do that often until the calf learns to nurse on them.
I agree with TSR about shipping her. That is a problem that will keep coming back every year.
 
sounds like the cow has balloon teats.an they will only get bigger with time.i would cull her when you wean her calf.
 
One big conclusion is being jumped to and that's that the teats are actaully oversized. I've seen cows with 2 teats the diameter of my little finger and 2 the diameter of a hot dog. The calves will nurse the smaller ones first then at about a week will start getting to the others. Cow is a 96 model and has alwasy been that way.
