Now these are bad pictures, mom was taking them because "I can't run the new camera as well as her." So bear with me.

Sorry, I just couldn't resist.

2) High percentage angus, over 15/16, 6 frame cow stays in super condition and raises great calves.
3)High percentage angus with less than 1/4 simmi influence. GREAT cow.
4) 14+ year old cow 100% red angus, raises one of the best calves year after year, if we could only get some heifers. thank god this year she had one. in fact #1,3, and 4 had heifers this year!
Jake - these cows are nothing less than I would expect to see from your program. Good volume, GREAT depth of body, obviously good milking mommas, smooth and I'll bet that the 'elderly matron' at the salt block raises some poppin' good calves!. Any lady that can achieve 14 yrs. of age and still produce profit is a keeper. The Red cow is ok as a commercial producer, but I'll bet you can improve on her by keeping some of the heifers produced by a couple of the other cows in these pictures. I am assuming that you are using OCC Legend 616L for next year's production. The #1 cow should give you a great calf, and if it is a heifer I would plan to keep her. If it is a bull calf, sell it, and use the proceeds to get a couple of sexed Embryo Transfers to catapult your breeding program. Also, let's hope you have a heifer from your 589 Traveler 9099 6110 cow!Jake":273an0ei said:Now these are bad pictures, mom was taking them because "I can't run the new camera as well as her."
