I searched every inch of our property for a cow today and yesterday . Saw her last three days ago ( she was very close to calving ) . I'm in a remote area where traffic , water , forage should not be a concern . I've got pretty good fences for the most part . I do believe she managed to get out . My question is , would you continue looking or give her some time to come back around on her own ?

If she is out she did so to calve. I would try and find her but she will likely come back in a few days.

I have 1 that I swear can change her color to her surroundings and disappears for a few days when she has a calf and until shes ready for you to see her calf you will never find either.

And the calf is wild as the dickens when she brings it around!

We had one that would hide her calf very well, and would come to eat, but be darned if you could find the little guy... Then I have the others who want to show their calf off right away and never leave the calf's side for an instant

What is your wildlife like? Cougars, coyotes, dogs? I am a worry wart, so I would keep looking......
I guess it comes down to how important it is to you?
