I have 29 cows, 10 heifers and 1 bull and they LOVE it. I split a 50 lb bag of mill fortified with magnesium between 6 troughs. The bull's trough doesn't get as much as the others (he has a favorite one) based on what I read on this site. My vet recommended I might want to boost the Mg after I had one cow prolapse. I asked for blood samples on two or three, hence the boost. I'll probably get another blood test done in the future to verify its making a difference. They get 150 lbs of 20% cubes and the 50 lb sack every two or three days plus plenty of free salt and mineral. The girls are slick as a whistle and the calves loved it too, for what its worth.
