Cost of Square Baling

I am looking at putting a few square bales of Bermuda in the barn. What is the
normal cost to hire someone to bale? I will have it raked and all that will need to be
done is bale.

$1.25 to $2 a bale. I would not do it for less than $1.50 a bale.

Somewhere around $1 pr bale with a minimum of 500 bales
Or the equivalent pr bale price to be $500 if less than 500 bales
250 bales = $2 pr bale

My guy charged me $2.25 per bale, that was for mowing, raking and baling. I hauled out of the field and into the barn. I know you said you would cut and rake you just need baled, but I'm assuming all the post with figures close to $2 per bale include mowing, raking and baling.

Just baling would be $1 pr bale min and $500 min
If you figure 10 to 12 sguares pr round bale it figures out about the same
We get $12 pr bale for rounds with A 50 bale min

Yesterday hay was cheap at local sale barn.
Decent grass hay $1.75 bale ditch hay 1.30 Oat hay $1.00 bale
Large rounds grass hay $15 - $25 bale
3x3 med sq of nice grass hay $30 bale
Minus 10% sales commission plus cost of hauling to sales barn and NO Sellers were making any money.

Yep they weren't making ANY MONEY one reason we alwsys had a place to feed our hay that way we didn't have to give it away if hsy was cheap we just kept it and fed it
