I am needing to hear some experienced comments on the ability to do what I am thinking.

I have a new Claas baler, that chops, high pressure metal rollers, net wrap and then plastic wraps the silage bales in one setting.

My question, can I use a self propelled swather with sickle cutting bar and an auger delivery to the center to cut 100 bushel corn and place in a 4 to 5 foot windrow?

I do not want to used any type of conditioner as that would cause me to loose corn and do not want to rake for the same reason. I realize I should try and find a 12 foot head to minimize the windrow height.

I have a pull type discbine / conditioner but I know I will look corn using it.

Does your CLAAS manual give any instructions?
 
A lot will depend on the health and maturity stage of the corn. You can mow green corn with a disk mower with minimal ear loss.
We have a self propelled chopper with a row head. It uses large sickle sections to cut the corn. If the corn is to dry or the corn bores destroy the shank in the ear the chopper head will shake off more ears.
Also large corn stalks will make your sickle sections dull pretty quick.
