Corn question

The guy who leases our place planted it all in corn this year. It has been standing and dry for a month. It has already been rained on pretty good 4-5 times.

Does that effect the corn or quality? I would think after a while it would, but have no experience with corn.

Wish I had corn that got rained on 4-5 times....but that's what the shuck is for...each ear has it's own little raincoat. But yes, in time the stalk will break down and a good wind will put it on the ground. Long periods of wet would not be good but haven't seen that in quite a while.
