Contest 27 Aug - 2 Sept "Gone but not Forgotten"

Time to reminisce folks, take a pic of something that was once present but is not anymore - could be abandoned gas station, ghost town, vehicle, people, pet, youth, old sign/ad etc. Should you wish to post a pet or person for your entry, a photo of a photo will be allowed.

The contest will run from 27 Aug - 2 Sept, the voting poll from 3 -9 Sept. All entries to be submitted via personal message to hillsdown on or before 2 Sept. The winner will be announced on 10 Sept.

Sooo many choices....let's see what you come up with

Could you extend the 'photo of a photo' allowance?
Possibly not what I want to submit, but one of the first things I thought of was one of the shale bings (a small hill formed by byproducts of the coal industry). Those hills were dismantled when I was young and what had been green grass, trees and horses became bare flat ground. I have photos I took with a 35 mm camera, about 25 years ago when they still existed.
It's one of the reasons I have no wish to return to that place.
