I agree they all look the same but I am surprised in the lack of rib and depth. They look a little pencil gutted. Of course that is just my opinion from watching them on TV

they all look the same which is a good thing if they are good specimens, they look like average, new genetics, carcass cattle.

I agree with the fact that they lack depth of body and masculinity, even though the original sale order were bulls that were only 13 - 14 months old. My point relating to the sale lots was the "consistency" of the group. In my opinion they need more bone, deeper bodies, greater spring of rib, and deeper hindquarters. But, PHENOTYPICALLY, they are consistent, particularly in their strong, level top lines! It is an interesting study to compare the BW and Milk EPD's (low BW and higher milk) with the phenotype! Also the marbling and ribeye EPD's demonstrate the antagonistic tendencies between the two. The 'trick' to get high Marbling AND high Ribeye in the same package is the mark of a good job of matching Genetics in the sire and dam.

Pigs and Hogs are peas in a pod, They are so consistant that they have the science down to exactly how many days on feed they are until butcher.
They are also tasteless,too lean, tough and dry, and aromaless when cooking. They made them efficient and consistant and inedible all at the same time.
