I agree with the fact that they lack depth of body and masculinity, even though the original sale order were bulls that were only 13 - 14 months old. My point relating to the sale lots was the "consistency" of the group. In my opinion they need more bone, deeper bodies, greater spring of rib, and deeper hindquarters. But, PHENOTYPICALLY, they are consistent, particularly in their strong, level top lines! It is an interesting study to compare the BW and Milk EPD's (low BW and higher milk) with the phenotype! Also the marbling and ribeye EPD's demonstrate the antagonistic tendencies between the two. The 'trick' to get high Marbling AND high Ribeye in the same package is the mark of a good job of matching Genetics in the sire and dam.
