We have a full moon rising...the barometer is dropping...o'l Boss Cow lost her mucus plug two days ago...so she better have that darn calf tonight. For some reason she wants to cook this one longer that usual (AI'd on June 7th) could be the Lim semen we used...could be a really big calf, but she isn't abnormally large...I'm getting tired of going out with rubber boots and a flash light before bed to have a look at a cow's south forty.
"Honey do you think that you should check Boss?" the things that I do for that woman....
And that's just my two bits worth for the afternoon....asked for or not....Dave Mc
P.S. One of the Lim cows gave us a nice heifer calf yesterday..ten days early...go figure.

Especially with this cow....last year I had her in the barn cause she was due in early Feb and we had snow and zero nights...anyway, I got up to whiz and couldn't go back to sleep so I went out and checked her...nothing but starting labor came back in and made coffee after a cup I went back out and she was cleaning off a big bull calf. Never have seen this cow have a calf.
Maybe tonite is the night....Dave Mc
