For those waiting on new foals...my only bred mare had a great dun/overo colt for me a week ago Sunday. There were some issues with milk production and concerns about the colt getting enough colostrum.

Most vets here don't have the ability to test colostrum quality or test immuity (IgG) on foals stall side. Didn't want to haul a possibly immune comprimised colt to the vet. I now have stall side tests for both colostrum quality and whole blood IgG on foals. Easy to use. IgG testing requires a vet to pull blood from the foal but no lab equipment or special training to actually perform the test. Colostrum quality test is easy...owner can do. Everyone with foals should have these available.

My colt is doing well and a pic can be seen of him on my website
