OK, so I have my very first Jersey milk cow and she is just a week over six months old this weekend. The guy I bought her from said her mom didn't have any vaccinations - ever! I thought that was a bit odd? Anyway, I'm thinking of using her as a nurse cow to raise calves (still a year or two away) and I'm sure I need to give her some vaccinations. I just got a catalogue in the mail from PBSanimalhealth.com and the choice of vaccinations makes my head spin! Is there any way to narrow down my choices? Should I just start sticking her with all different kinds of vaccinations or is there a method to the madness?
