Had an unexpected rain yesterday. 6/10ths, and very welcome. Temp dropped from 99 to 73 in one hour. Forecast for tomorrow is 90, tomorrow night 61, which means I'll probably see 57 at my house. We need this break. Grass still ain't growing much, but it's green, and the ground isn't powder anymore. Time to get out the long sleeves and go for that early morning walk with my coffee, talk to God and the cows. I love cool mornings

Right now; 14% humidity and 86 degrees with a north breeze. I'm sittin in my great grandma's old metal lawn chair, feet propped up, sippin on a Samual Adams Summer Ale and watchin the chicken peck and the calves play. Life is good

Came through here an hour or so ago dropped an inch of rain.
I'm starting to rub the velvet off my horn's.
Nothing finer than an good early morning bow hunt followed by a good football game in the afternoon.
I am ready to set like a buzzard on the side of a tree.

CB, has anybody told you lately, that you certainly have a way with words, and putting things into perpective??? Dam I wish you were a neighbor I could go visit in the morning. We'd have a good time riding around on your mule, and the coffe shop, and the feed store....
I'll be out in my long sleeves in the morning, hot coffee, walking the fence rows, enjoying my alone time

That is why I miss ole Rube so bad we sat on the porch every morning ate our breakfast and plotted what we were going to tackle. Thursday morning is breakfast and coffee at the feed store. We solve a lot of wrong's around that table.
Man needs good neighbors and a good dog when he get's older. I got good neighbor's. We are just waiting to see if DD(Devil Dog) pans out. Already got an order in on a pup out of ole Rube's line be ready come Oct. I aint going to be without a good squirrel dog. Well I quess I am for this season.

It was nice today but pretty crazy when low to mid 90's is considered a cold front!
Finally had some rain on the lease pasture.....four tenths.
