CMR Grandview Dispersal

Help Support CattleToday:

It will be on dvauction.com. No live video feed though just the prerecorded videos.

Considering what happened at Star Lake and the number of animals that came back up for sale this year I would give the advice to take a taxi and leave your checkbook at home. Just go to look and learn. The sad truth in today's world is that more than likely the best stock has already been flushed and collected for the past six months. Herd Dispersal is cattle talk for BUYER BEWARE.

JW,

My son is in love with Brahman cattle. I run gerts, but may have to buy him a brahman heifer. I can use ai to get her bred. My question is would she do ok her in TN? We have some pretty cold weather in January.

The Brahman Journal lists a breeder in Kansas who might have a herd that does better in cold weather. Although it could be done with the right facilities, a heifer from the Gulf Coast will be unhappy any time it goes below 40. Brahman are in their element when it is unbearably humid and hot.

Hope that helps,
JW
