Club and Feed Calves

Basically wondering what Club calves are aswell as feeder calves.

Generally around here club calves are intended to be used as projects by juniors in 4H and FFA and the like. 4H kids belong to clubs at the local level. FFA kids belong to chapters, similar to a club. Feeder calves are destined to go to a feedlot to be finished for slaughter.

Feeder calves (generally called feeder heifer's or steers in this area) are animals that are being finished for slaughter - usually in a feedlot type scenario. I don't know about club calves as I had never heard that term prior to joining this board.
