Cleaning out ?

Is it common for a cow that had a huge set of twins to take a long time to clean out? BTW they came backwards lost them both. Guessing I'd say they 90# er's (bulls). Thanks. B&G

yes a rough birth can cause cows to take a while to clean out.watch her a few days and use your nose.if they start stinking she needs tobe infused aka cleaned out.

We had a cow take awhile to clean, and she got stinky. The vet had us give her a shot of lute, and 48 hours later no more junk hanging, no more stink, and the cow came back in on time.

Thanks for the advise. The vet gave her Uterine Boules & Dex. I did smell her when the weather was warm. I'll Lute her today thanks. B&G
