Cig lighter connection ques.

I am setting up one of those small Herd seeders to work on my Honda Rancher as well as a Kubota RTV 1140. Both have a cigarette lighter type connection. Can I use it for my power instead of going to the battery?

That's how mine is made and works fine.

They are not the best connection but they seem to get the job done in many situations. My preference would be something like an Anderson Plug.

One mule has a cigerette outlet on the dash and I use it. The other doesn;t have one (from the factory) so I hooked one up directly to the battery and have it hanging just outside the battery box and hook my Moultrie electric seeder and my electric sprayer up to it. Never have had an issue either way

Ken the Anderson plug is a interesting idea. They make a cigarette lighter plug that has the Anderson plugs on the other end. Its also fused. I am wanting to change out all my gadgets to easily connect to all my toys and that may be the way to go.
