I've looked on the web and back through previous posts and everything states CIDR's in for 7 days. If due to a scheduling conflict I need to leave them in for 8 - 8 1/2 days will it effect the how fertile the heat will be?

Should not be a problem. Typically you hit them with Lute when you pull them. For heifers, we kept them in a day longer (8). If my memory serves me correct. I have seen guys say they go up to ten. Somebody smarter than me (Dun) will know. You can always call Semex, Genex, Select Sires, ABS, or Accelerated Genetics (did forget any???) and they should have some insight.
