My Paps (Grandaddy) has a 4 or 5 year old cow who has had the squirts since he bought her as a heifer. She's in his herd is why I didn't know about this before. She is raising her third (I think) good heifer and got crippled for the last week of her first pregnancy. She's been fine since but I didn't know if it could be connected or just a pinched nerve etc.
She is in ok body condition but just has the squirts. I know there is a term for this and a way to treat it in calves but I don't know if I can medicate a pregnant cow with the stuff.
Please tell me the name of this disorder (never had this problem before) and how to treat it if we can. I know it sounds like I'm clueless but I've just never had this problem so didn't bother to remember what it's called.
