WOW! What else is there? :D

My daughter lives 60+ miles from a town with Walmart & other stores. She does her shopping online. The shipping fee is way less than the fuel to go there and back.

I guess that I am a Grinch or Scrooge. It kills me to go to a store the day after Christmas and see everything that I bought marked down to half of the price. I think about how much further my $$$ would have gone if I waited until after Christmas to get gifts.

I guess my wife and I have turned into Mr. & Mrs. Scrooge. We have four grown children, they have been out of the house for several years. We haven't had any decorations, including a tree, for many years. We don't do any Christmas shopping and haven't since the kids left and they don't buy for us either. Well we do buy four gifts every year online for the only one Christmas is really for, without getting religious, our two young granddaughters get two presents from us. So we don't shop, don't celebrate, don't decorate, don't cleanup after Christmas morning and we both love it that way after years of going all out for Christmas when the kids were small.

Two things we do have is good eats and sweets during the holidays and of course the great memories. One memory I'll share is when our second from the oldest was about 5, we had gotten the four of them a nice electric race car track to share. One of our traditions was Santa would come during Christmas eve after they went to bed and leave a gift all set up and ready to go, that year it was the race car set. Well my 5 yr old ran to the set all excited, but in a minute or two he was mad as a hornet ....... He had looked at the tires on both cars and could tell that Santa must have been playing with his toy during the night ..... Oops, at least Santa took the heat.

I love going to the stores just before Christmas. People are happy and everyone says "Merry Christmas" to each other and there is the Spirit of Christmas in the air.

One year I was at Wally World in a long check out line. Was talking to the man in front of me and he was complaining that he didn't like Christmas, that it was too commercial. I don't remember what I said to him but I was telling him how much I liked Christmas and what it really meant.
Before long his countenance began to change. As he finished his purchase and started to leave, he turned to me and said, "Merry Christmas". It just made me feel good.

Sometimes you can really see that you get back what you give.
What I'm trying to say is, if you don't like it, see if you can change it. Prime the pump. Go make some lemonade. Be a leader. There are a lot of good things and good people in this world.
