My wife is such a jewel, she bought me a S&W model 629 3" stainless 44 mag from Lew Horton and also a Colt Anaconda 44 mag in stainless. She dont know it yet though. Think it will be a surprise when she sees what she bought me? :lol2: Oh last night she also bought me a Colt Challenger 22 auto made in 1952 that is in 98% condition. She hasnt seen it yet either. What a woman. :cowboy:

That Anaconda is the easiest and sweetest shooting 44 that ever was made. Even more comfortable to shoot then the Freedom Arms guns.

You are a lucky man Kenny ! But come on - - to keep it fair you should be buying her some guns for Christmas too. For many years I made a December pheasant and BP deer combo trip to SD. While there I sorted through the post season used gun rack, to the benefit of my wife and several others.

I like a 629, but what do you do with a 44 mag with a 3 inch barrel?
You either look at it or trade it. Better than money in the bank. I have owned 3 Ruger Super Redhawks in 454 with the snub nose barrels in the last 2 years. I never shot any of them but loved every dollar they brought. :lol2:

That's what I figured, not really a hunting gun, or a real fun shooter, I had a 629 44 mag with a longer barrel until a switched it for a super redhawk. I don't know that I like one over the other, both good IMO.

Well if you like those you would love the Colt Anaconda. And I just happen to know where one can be purchased at a real Christmas price. ;-)

Thanks but I'm good on double action revolvers. now if you had a nice saa colt in 44-40 with a 5 1/2 barrel and ivory grips, I would take it, at a special Christmas price of course!

Easy, Christmas special. One made in 1883 delivered to your door for only $5,000. Better hurry before its gone.

I might be Santa but not tonight. Those darn things are high. I only added $1,000 for my part.
That's why I don't have more if them or a real nice one. I've had several but right now I don't even own a single action colt, I've never had the exact one I want do I've never hung on to any that I've had.

Update: she liked what she bought me so well that when she seen them she took both the Anaconda and the S&W 629 but also the Colt Challenger, a Colt Huntsman, and a set of imitation pearl grips I had traded for today. Merry Christmas to her. That trade cost me $3100. Shew, cant stand that very long. :(

You should stop while you're behind. At least until she forgets about Christmas, anniversary, and her birthday.

Onee thing about the Anaconda, I don;t have very big hands and it's the only 44 Mag I can shoot double action accurately and comfortably

I agree it feels great. Guess I might see if she will let me shoot it some. :santa:
