Chicken litter?

Help Support CattleToday:

When folks complain about manure smells, I tell em not to worry ....that it will go away in just a year or two.

If they ask how often I spread it I just smile and say every year.

This guy wants $30 a ton spread. Is that about right? 1 1/2 ton to the acre.

I don't know i would guess it depends on your local area.Just don't spread it to thick taht stuff is some pretty potent stuff. Know a guy that has chickens and he spreads it on his ground. they go pretty fast through the feild when spreading it though. I think they go somewhere around 6mph but im not sure.

$30 a ton spread is right.when you add in the price of fuel.its been $25 a ton spread here.an i bet it has gone up here.
