I bought a Mossberg Maverick 12 ga shotgun at Academy sporting goods for $180.00 dollars plus tax. It's brand new and hopefully it will handle the dirt and dust on the Kubota. We will try it out on some mexican buzzard ' s tomorrow. Their bad here already, my closest neighbor has lost 2 calves to them already this year.

Interesting that you posted this. I just this afternoon (re)acquired an older New Haven 600CT pump that is made by Mossberg and it's my understanding that it is the same as a Mossberg 500--and if I read the internet right, your Mossberg Maverick is just a slightly less expensive version of the Mossy 500. Is the Maverick a mdl 88?
If your Maverick is anything like the 500 I think you will be very happy with it.

(I have to find a stock and stock bolt for mine--it's a 20 ga tho)

The difference between a 500 and the Maverick used to be that the 500 had 2 acting arms and the Maverick had 1. I little difference in fit and finish and that's about it.
The 500 is like a jack handle, nothing fancy but they always work.
