Yep.. look at that ear! Probably want to save it back for a replacement.
That's cause I have Brangus cows...
He won't be much good as a replacement, has been surgically altered.

Actually, he just showed up about 6 weeks ago. Has been running loose in the woods for 3 months eating my son in laws deer corn and being a nuisance.
Now he eats, grazes and sleeps with the cows.
I think a neighbor a couple of miles away had him for a pet and turned him loose.

I'd probably "remove him" when he gets up around 275-300 lbs.

That aint no Piney Wood Rooter
From the pic the best I can tell looks to be a York or Landrace both of them are fine eatin.
Could have some Chester White in as well just haven't seen any of those since I was a kid.

I've kinda got the same thing going on here, except mine is a pygmy billy goat. Was with my wife's pygmies but one day decided he wanted to be a cow and hasn't come back home.

Ears ain't flopped enough for a Chester, CB. Pretty long body, so my money is on Landrace.

You are right on floppy ears grandpa used to have about 50 Chester's. I wished I could remember how he made his mark.
Everytime after a hog killin we had to tote ham's and bacon to every widow or needy person in the community.
Had to tote a gallon of ribbon cane syrup as well. Grandpa used to put up 365 gallons for the family the rest we doled out.

Pork chops or what do you call him? :D
My son in law calls him "Bacon" He thinks he has about 400 pounds of deer corn invested in him, plus rooting up the turnips and rye in his food plots.

Well actually they are my food plots I guess, but it is his labor and seed.

There were eight aunt's and uncles plus Ma and Pa bellying up to the table plus grankids.
Ma used syrup for cooking instead of sugar they went through a gallon a day.
Better not be late to the table around there.
