Going to chaperone the high school ski trip on Wednesday. This is the first trip the 9th grade has been allowed to go on since last year's trip. The teacher is extremely happy that I am going on this trip after last years incident. I'm the chaperone from h*ll and the kids know it. Talking loudly is fine but what they did last year was not just talking loudly.

I was on a different bus and the 9th grade was on another bus. Had no idea what happened until we got back to town and I really wished I had been on their bus.
The kids got it into their heads to dump water, pop, juice and food onto the floor and make a huge nasty mess. They also broke 2 seat's, they broke one seat completely off the floor and the back of another one. They left tons of trash all over the bus.
My son had been on that bus and he was disgusted with what some of these kids did.

Going to talk with the superindent. I plan on taking 2 garbage bags with me along with a roll of paper towels. When we get to the ski resort the bus will be inspected for trash and food on the floor and seats. When we get back to town the bus will be inspected row by row before the kids can get off to make sure there is no trash or food on the floor or seats.
I know it seems extreme, but if they are going to act like 3 year olds I will treat them as such. I've dealt with these kids before on a river trip. Give them an inch and they will take a mile.

Never know they might behave too. But I'm going prepared. Son has already told them I am coming.

Don't I know it TB. I about threw a few of them in the Missouri River without their life vests. A couple more I wanted to bend over my knee and give them the business end of a paddle.
Thought about that Jo but I want to ski too. Might have a couple shots when I get home that night.
Thanks BB going to need all the luck I can get. Going to have the 10th grade on the bus too.

Jo that washes out. I go to the the beauty salon and let the experts do it. ;-) One more treatment and then I let it grow out for Locks of Love. They don't like colored hair.

Yes highgrit. Boys and girls both. Some of the girls have worse attitudes then the boys.

Last time I went skiing with this class they got so rowdy on the return trip and after the 3rd time the teacher had to get up to make them sit down, I got up walked to the back of the bus and sat down right there on the back bench and told them since they were not behaving I was there to babysit them. They settled down.
I was told no other chaperone had ever done that. It only takes one look from me and they know they are going to be doing something they won't like. :lol2:

Will there be boys and girls on the same bus?? Had alot of fun on a school bus, along time ago.
Me too. At night. ;-)
Wanted to kill the driver when he would switch on the interior light at inconvenient times.
But I never trashed the bus.

Whatever you do, don't let them go to a bar. They might get yelled at by your second cousin 8 times removed 8)

That is not a concern. Making sure the kids do not get a double shot of espresso before we head back to town is a concern. The ski resort has a nice coffee shop.

Ryder that driver was smarter then you gave him credit for. :lol2: :lol2: :lol2:
An aggravation was what he was.
The next night there was a party. I got involved with a fertilizer distributor and forgot to go.
Looking back on it I think I was lucky. Things that come that easy can be dangerous. 'Nuff said. :secret:

Not a bad trip. I didn't have to be the heavy. The kids were pretty well behaved.
Only had one incident. One of the girls put her bag above my seat, well her bag fell off the rack hitting me pretty good in the head.
It got real quiet on that bus, only the girl who's bag it was laughed. No one else did; at least not within range of my hearing. She then waited for me to pick it up, which I did not. Knew if I picked it up it was going to go out the bus window, she came up and picked it up and took back to her seat. No apology or anything. She did not return her bag above my seat.
another girl put hers up there and I just commented I hoped hers was not going to give me a headache, she made sure her bag was secure.

Teacher made sure all their trash was picked up so I didn't have to.

2 kids did get injuried. One re-injuried his ankle and the other one got knocked over by the chair on the lift.
