I plan to use Triangle 9+Type II BVD for my cows this year, I know I need to give the calves 2 doses and all cattle an annual booster.

My question is: What about the cows that I have been using Cattle Master Gold FP5 on, do I still need to start them with a double dose per directions or can I just do them as a booster dose.

thanks in advance

I don't know for sure, but I would think you would need to vaccinate the cows that have received Cattle Master twice, as well. Otherwise, you wouldn't have the proper build up of any antibodies that Triangle covers, but is not in Cattle Master. You might ask your vet, or visit the websites of both vaccines - they might address this issue.

I asked our vet this about a calf we purchased for our daughter to show. He said he would give two doses because the vaccines use different carrier agents.
