Been one hell of a season for cedar allery in Texas this year , started in Dec. 09 and still going strong. Yesterday was hell with the high winds, in a normal year it should almost be over. Is their anywhere in the U.S. that does not have allergies? I read that Phoenix Az. now has them because of all the imported plants in the yards. They should have stayed with zero-scape like the Indians. Well I have to go because I need start sneezing, blow my sore nose, scratch my eyes and my ichy throat.

Sounds like you and Peg ought to get together and share your misery and some meds!!

I've had allergies to various things for years.... only thing that helps me out a bunch is a steroidal
nasal spray, Patanol eye drops, and OTC allergy meds.

Here's hoping you are better soon!!

Aggravating, these allergies, that's for sure.

I've been woodworking for over 20 years now. With wood, different species affect people differently. Some are pretty serious. I've always loved the smell of red cedar, as well as walnut, mahogany and many others. Some cause problems though. I can remember spending over $200 for a certain type of rosewood to make a guitar out of. I started working with the wood and within 15 minutes I was shaking and got seriously sick. I had to give away the rosewood.

Louisiana isn't a good place to stay if you have allergy problems!

Hooray for rain! It seems to have washed the pollen out of the air! I can almost breath!!
