Other old timers I have talked to knew about Caustic, please tell us how it was that you never knew about him?

You mounted a pretty vigorous attack on me in that 3n1 thread and it was locked before I could respond in kind.

Did I miss where you admitted that you were wrong somewhere?

I identified myself when I went to my initials, which are well known. No need to have Guru under my name, means nothing anyways. But then if you had more than half a brain you coulda figured that out. Cheap shot me to make yourself look better.

This is a freedom of speech issue. Nobody was harmed by this little ruse and the advice given by Caustic was solid.

Most of the cattle advice - agreed , it was good. Anything else - a lie created by cowards behind a mask.

I do not think I ever said that Camp was not Caustic, I just challenged how you knew this for sure. Maybe I did but I sure do not remember it.

You know by me mentioning it was RGL not RL that I knew what you knew. Plus I know what the R Stand for and I imagine you still don't.

I also believe that there really is a Caustic character that is real and does read this message board, just that Campground used his character at will, sometimes in Caustics presence and other times on his own.

And I know I was not wrong about questioning the credibility of someone that refers to himself as a Cyber Warrior, I might see it on some Dungeons and Dragons board but how crazy is it to talk like that on a Cattle Message board. So do not see myself in being wrong about you.

You are a bitter person that got spanked by Caustic because you lacked Cattle Knowledge and as a result you went looking for he was in real life. Kind of stalker like, and stumbled on to who the character was.

The information you chased down on RGL was not the kind of research one does on a message board. It is one thing to PM and try to find out about a online personality it is another thing to delve into Breed Association records and try to chase down the real life person, that is psycho and stalking in my opinion.

I wonder if Camp came clean because he wanted to stop a psycho who was going over and above online curiosity. If you were looking into my Name, Address and personal family information I also would probably nip it in the bud.

But I guess that is how you Cyber Warriors role huh? Little obsessive if you ask me!

With luck this post is winding down, as I stated before, a lot of you have a 3 hour head start on us on the left coast.

My thoughts on this; I see it as a nice rouse, I also understand some of you folks got your feelings hurt. I ran an argument a few years back about head shapes and horns, in which I was way off base, but I got my neck bowed and CB and CG tag teamed me pretty good. I got over it and grew to respect CB, CG, and others that I insulted, such as Txag (who I truley miss on this board, but I know is lurking )

George, when you stated that they are the same person I could not hardly believe it. But when it came out I looked at it like a work of art, a great ending to a movie. Such as in "Sixth Sense" at the very end of the movie you realize that Bruce Willis is dead... you just sit back a go "wow".

I don't think that Caustic Bruno should post anymore as Caustic Bruno, but I hope Edgar posts as some other name, such as CB, lots of good info and entertainment. But with that knowledge that Caustic is for the most part a myth, it would never be the same.

Again I hope to see edgar share his knowledge with us more.

I was really tired when I posted that message that had "cyber-warrior" in it and I mistakenly used it. It's a term that I might use on the "geek" sites that I have frequented - not on a cattle site - because there's probably very few of you that have heard it - and knows what it means.

Yes, I'm a "geek". And I'm not ashamed to admit it.

The term "cyber-warrior" was coined by a group of us that frequented the chat sites in the 90s. A lot of the sites were a lot like being in the old west and battles, like this one, were constantly being waged there. It was great sport!

But I quit using that term loosely a few years ago because it came to have a second meaning about a very important group of people.

The term "cyber-warrior" is now used in "geek-land" to refer to those people who are out there trying to make sure that your money is still in your bank account when you wake up the next morning or that you and your family aren't going to be blown up sitting in the food court of a mall somewhere.

It's important work.

As for the rest - my beef with Caustic has nothing to do with my lacking cattle knowledge. I spent 24 years directly involved with cattle (specifically Hereford cattle) before I got out of the business in 1984. After that time I was still passively involved because my Dad still had cattle and needed help quite often. I bought cattle again starting in 2002.

My beef with Caustic is that he's a cyber-bully.

And, yes, in preparing to "out" him, I did PLENTY of research. I've learned from similar battles in the past that you learn as much about your opponent as possible before engaging. It gives you the advantage. And I needed an advantage because I'm just a newbie on this board and I was dealing with an opponent that was well entrenched with plenty of support.

As for what the R stands for, I've seen an extension of the initial that was posted by RL himself on a public Internet site. And public information about any individual is readily available on the Internet to anyone, once you've learned their name and address.

As I said - You live by the sword - you die by the sword.

WOW it took me forever to read through all of this and I am still confused
I don't post alot unless I really need help but I do read here about 2 times a week. That's all I can really find the time for
We have a rule in this house...try to learn one thing everyday. If it's just a new word or whatever.
I have learned alot on this board. My Grandson also checks here from time to time to learn. To tell you the truth I really can't remember who taught us what, just that we learned!!
The internet and boards like these are great places to learn but I think you have to do your own research also. Not everything will work for everyone. We all live in different parts of the country and we all raise different kinds of cattle.
I remember alot of Caustic's posts mainly because he hates the breed of cattle we chose to raise. That being said he also made me think and research alot of things. I just looked past all the mean in him :lol:
I don't know who is who and frankly I don't care. If it entertains someone to post as different people I envy them for all that extra time they have on their hands :lol: I'm lucky to be able to read on here without peeling taters or snapping beans at the same time. Most of my time is spent outside!
From what my kids tell me this kind of thing happens all the time online. I guess I just don't understand. I have enough trouble remembering my real name let alone more than one internet name!
I intend to keep reading and learning but right now I must get back to real life...the cat just hawked up a huge hairball...I knew I couldn't stay on here long
