Noticed your last post Aug, 26. How'd you fare with all the rain that got dumped in your neck of the woods? I was born in Houston and grew up in Pasadena so spring flooding was a normal but times have changed and things are 10x than what they used to be besides either the gulf is rising or the land is sinking or both. Hope you made it ok. I'm N of Farmersville and got about half an inch out of the mess. All gone now.

I was on during all the mess.
We’re fine thanks for asking .
We only got 5.5 inches at my house.
Kids all live in the Houston metroplex came out fine.
This is old hat for my bunch we lived Claudette, Allison, Harvey floods.
We don’t like the old hat very much stalled tropical storm suck.

😄 they suck as much as the ones that never show up when you need them. Got 2/10ths from the last band that formed and flow in before it smashed into an impenetrable air mass and tore itself apart. Got just a sprinkle from the backdraft of all that yesterday evening. Makes 1.1 since July 2nd. But yeah....20 to 30 inches in a few days time doesn’t work well either.

But hey, it’s 90f instead of 102f.

Only in Texas can you go from burn ban to slow no wake zone in a day.

I have said numerous times that if we were going to get rain in the latter summer months it'd have to be from a hurricane type disturbance. Also said that I felt for the folks living down on the coast if one came in. But I can't control either so it's all hot air on my part.

Glad you and yours made it OK!
