ivermectin is in the paste wormer for horses. can i take the injectable version and put it in their feed instead of paste wormers? i know this is done for other animals. what other type of wormer do i need to rotate? i have used the paste up until this point. thanks.

I know people who have used the injectable cattle ivermectin orally and I have tried it before. The dose is 1 cc per 110 lbs bodyweight.

I had one horse that was sensitive to the carrier and got colicky after being dosed. I quite using it after that.

It is not labeled to be given orally to horses, so if your horse has a bad reaction you are up a creek.
