One of the lease guys ask if deer will eat the protein tubs.
I had not even thought about this until he called about 30 minutes ago. I thought one of y'all might have some insight on the issue.
I have never seen one do it, never seen a hog mess with one.
I have never seen a deer at my liquid feeder.
I have seen them eating range meal out of the cow feeder.
Got to research deer and urea.

He was asking about cattle tubes with urea.
I haven't been able to find any real data on deer and urea.
He read the protein on some TSC tubs.
Just read whitetail deer do not find urea palatable. Use feed with natural proteins.

That makes sense. Just think how many urea products we have in the pasture. If they liked it, with our high deer numbers, I would have seen one on a cattle tub. In fact they would clean them out.

Deer will and do eat them. Just not very much at any one time.

Our mini horse will chow down on them. She is a hog.
Ticks my husband off cause she is always hooving them up like a Hoover vacuum. 😉🤣
