NATCHEZ — A Gonzales, La., man has been arrested in the theft of 11 cattle from Adams County.
The Natchez Democrat reports that Newton Thomas McNealy Jr. was charged Tuesday with theft of livestock.
Sheriff Chuck Mayfield said the cattle when missing last September.
Mayfield says McNealy allegedly took the cattle to the Sale Barn in Brookhaven and sold them in his name.
The missing cattle included one black angus bull, eight angus cows and two angus calves.
This is getting way to clost to home. Only about 40 miles from my house.
Hope they hang him.
