Do you prefer taller or shorter cows and why?

That's like the question "How high is up". I like about a FS 6 but blovky, about as wide as the are tall. Just a personal preference. When we ran cows in the desert we wanted cows with a lot of leg because they had to cover 3-5 miles between water holes.
