no they actually like it I bring home stuff from jobs like brush and or pallets from sod etc and burn it once a week the cattle gather around especially when cold they get close enough you can see if there wet the water steam coming off.
I used to burn all my brush piles at night, sure made a pretty scene, now civilization has moved in and someone will call the fire dept. and you will be fined $500 for an illegal burn. Texas sure is changing for the worst.
Ya it's funny how they always come to the fire like that. Especially when it's cool outside. I've had them walk right up and bed down. Tomorrow they will be playing in the ash.

I had an Angus bull that would stomp out a fire if it was small. I would have to shut him out of any fields that I was burning brush in. I always wondered if I could have leased him out to the Forest Service when I did not need him for breeding.
