Almost time to go fishing

I have 8 in the back yard. After about 4 years I started cutting them back at the ground. Now they make bushes and are a lot easier to get the worms off.

i have as many as you can carry home. hate the dam things and haven't found a real good way of controlling them..........

I fish quite a bit so I look forward to the worm crops every year and we also plant a row or 2 of tobbaco for the horn worms. I boil some water drop the worms in they will sink and then float thats when they are done. take them out to dry sprinkle fruit fresh on them and when dry ziplock bag with corn meal in it keep them from sticking together. they will hold there color and boiling makes the skin tough so they stay on the hook.

You can put them live into the cornmeal, and then put them in the freezer. They keep well and can be used for bait as needed.

thats the way we did it for years and had a old man give me a few to fish with done as described above and they were alot tougher and stayed on the trot line and bush hooks better.
