I picked up a new scratching post for our cats last night. Had to throw the old one out and they were clawing up the chairs.

So when I got it home son's cat immediately started using it. Great.
To help get the other cats to use it I rubbed a little cat nip on it.
Holy Cow!!
Son's cat went completely nuts. It is a 3 level scratcher with a hole the goes between the second and top level.
She sticks her head through the hole and is just rubbing like crazy where I rubbed the cat nip.
So I decided to give her more and when I opened the jar she stuck her head into it, but couldn't reach it so just a fast she sticks her paw in the jar and about dumps the whole jar. She goes to eating the cat nip. I picked some up and she snags my hand and holds it while she eats what I got up.

This morning she is on the second level flat on her back with all 4 paws on the top level and she starts clawing her way around in a circle rubbing her back in the cat nip on that level.
It was funny to watch.
 
Batteries died in the camera and Hubby had hidden them from the kids and didn't tell me. So I was looking for batteries for almost an hour before he told me.

It was hilareous to watch.

You think that's funny, get your cats a catnip plant. That is hysterical! My Dad hates cats, and even he laughed when my cat got into the catnip plant.
