I know they are a thing of the past, but I kinda want to build one for my 8n. I know I want a removable tailgate, and possibly a few holders for: shovel, grizzly bar, diggers etc. anybody got a pic, or a suggestion.

A couple of these ol woods girls round here, sitting on the back or even in the middle would point the front of that Ford skyward.

That's what I was thinking GB. I've rode a many a wheelie on an old 601 and 8N while hogging.

I didn't put this in my original post, because it raises a certain safety concern. It may actually be used more for transporting my children around the farm, than anything else.

if you don't have it too far back you should be fine closer to the rear tires the better but depends on how many kids you have I am in the process of building one to haul firewood up to the house and leaving in the back yard.

They better get some bushhog wheels and put on the back of that contraption then :lol2:

People seem to not know what I'm talking about, when I describe these chains. They allow the 3 point to hang in a position without the PTO turning.

I threw this together in about 15 minutes yesterday. I've always spot sprayed with my 4 wheeler. Having 55 gallons of spray, and being able to putout some volume is going to be nice.

I have something similar . I built one out of metal that uses a receiver hitch . I can use it with the tractor when I attach my a frame hitch that has 2 receiver slots on it . One is on bottom cross piece and other is just below the top link

I guess I'm just excited about it, because it's new, but there's a thousand uses for that thing.

I'm needing to build the same sort of thing but for a bigger (much bigger) tractor.
When we work on center pivots in a growing crop we try and take everything in one trip.
I need a box big enough to haul a gear box, pivot tire, blocks, air compressor, tools and a few more things I'm forgetting.

Before I built this I used a pallet on hay forks. I just nailed a 1x8 to the edge of the pallet. Just take 2 pallets and nail them together put a board rail around it. And load it up. When your done back it under the barn and drive off or unhook the hay fork right there.
