Love fishing for them here on Lake Fork. They are strong you catch a 2 pounder and it pulls like a 5lb bass. We also call they them sand bass or sandies

Used to be a frequent on lake fork back in my brush league bass pro days lol.
Forks got a bunch of yellow bass (bar fish) as well.

Yes the bar fish used to be abundant but I haven't caught 1 in years.
