Yes, the blacks are out of our sim/angus. That b/w one behind him was well over 100 lbs when born, our one token old sim marked one we get every year.......but the red was maybe 70, and is outgrowing just like the bull did. Born the same week...callmefence":38js9qcw said:
He is a bull we raised that showed crazy growth.. Not outstanding growth, weird unheard of growth. We got one years ago, first calf that brought us 1000 and weaned out at around 800..When we got another, we decided to keep him. Got another the next year that wasnt as clean, he ended up breaking his penis so he was sold. He's pictured next to calves older than him.. Not only are they giants, but they look different than the other herds calves, the reason i call them mutants (although not tested but i'm tempted) We sold the bull this last fall that these weird bulls were out of...Anywho, they are over 75% angus, but the mutant producing bull was out of a simbra cow and a reg angus bull. Most of our cows will be over 75% angus now...so whatever that mix would be. The young bull that sired the above calves is still, not a typical looking bull. Hes not excessively tall, as most bulls who grow fast would probably be. He's relativity short. Where he's different, and we dont feed our bulls special over the winter, he's wide wide.
