An interesting e-mail I received today!!

---------------------------------------------------------

Record setting harvest was done in 2006, in Winkler, Manitoba, Canada.

160 acres was harvested with 100 combines and several grain trucks in

10 minutes and 15 seconds.

This record will be entered in the Guiness World.

Proceeds of this crop is to be sent to a kids camp.

That's how we get it done in Canada!

Hmm, there sure is an awful lot of green out there.

Good to see the pics again it had been awhile, thanks OT.

Yep- but as was pointed out to me-- look at the color of the combine in the top of the top picture- thats way out in the lead ;-) :P

Pretty cool pics there OT.
Come on HD there are splashes of red out there along with a few yellows. :lol2:
Now that would have been killer to watch.
Getting pretty busy around here. You can see the different lights driving around at dusk.
Our cutters got here today and are going like crazy.
There was a large grain fire west of us today. Don't know how much has burned. Had 3 different departments on it.

Not enough silver/galvinized combines for me in the pic. At our Farm Science Reveiw the Gleaners always win the races.

Hey FarmGirl, you can't pull that on me, because I'm there too . Everybody knows a Deere trumps a hog feeder every time  . Just kidding we've had some gleaners in the past, good machines .

Lol, Larry all we've ever had was the old hog feeders. Do you happen to know what year they started to paint Gleaners?

Finally, some sense on this thread. :P

Gleaners are not longer made of galvanized, but are now painted. They look different than the old ones, but they are good machines. I think they started painting them in 2002 or 2003. Dad and brother both traded the same year, and they were painted vs. galvanized.

well figured that our barley is about 3 weeks out before we can cut that.

Did you get any of that light show last night? Had a few fires in our county from the lighting. The storm stretched from Great Falls to Havre and was suppose to last til 2 am.
I went to bed when the neighbors yard lights started to look like a fire. :lol2:

I didn't see any or hear any- but I'm still on dope so probably could have slept thru a nuke attack....

We have had rain showers rolling thru the northern part of the county all morning- but got nothing down here on the river...

The only thing green in our place is the Claas baler and the Deutz chore tractor.

When our field tractor had a major breakdown in July we borrowed a friend of ours' JD packing tractor that is used for his custom silaging operation. That big bugger used almost a litre of fuel per bale. A person could go broke fast real quick that way. I should post a pic of it as it made our big round baler look like a toy. :lol2:
And the looks we got from the neighbors driving by very slow staring at the tractor. Finally one old neighbor had to call us up as curiosity got the best of him to ask if we bought a new JD tractor. ILMAO, and told him whose it was ,and that the if it was ours we would be living in it too. ;-)
