Shoot, one and six are the same, I guess I should have proof read..
I lost my aunt to cancer in 2006, they totally dropped the ball on her, they were treating her for graves disease ,which she never had ,and by the time they figured out what really was her illness it was terminal ,she died 2 and half months later. My dad is a colon cancer survivor, it has taken most of his cousins already and his mother. He most likely would have died before it was even caught but thankfully he had a hernia operation and during the ultra sound they saw a blockage in his colon. He immediately got in for surgery and didn't have to have chemo or radiation. Every six months he gets a cancer count done and the last test it was up again, we are just waiting ..It is terrifying to think that we have to go through this again. How many survive when cancer comes back.

My grandfather was a real survivor he had cancer in his forties, and was treated successfully but every ten years it would come back somewhere else. It came back the last time and treatment was not successful and it took his life, they had been married for 66 years.
I had a mammogram at the age of 38 when a lump was found, but it was benign, Thank God. Because of colon/bowel cancer plaguing my family I get to have a present for my 40th Bday, a colonoscopy. Lucky me.
