Well this is a long story but I will try to sum it up.
My wife and I had another child last year in march. The other co worker in the office didnt get to use her vaccation. So that caused some tension and some bad feelings. The other person ( co-worker) got the district supervisor fired and in turn lost all her comp time because they were doing things wrong according to the company lawyer. This made her even more upset(co-worker). Well they put my wife to part time in Jan. and gave her a .55 cent raise. Then they fired her ( co worker did this) in Feb with no written warnings or verbal warnings. The board didnt know this till meeting but they dont want to get involved is what they said. What kind of board doesnt want to know how a company is being run? To make matters worse the co worker is married to another employe of the company, and they use the company truck to take her to work and pick her up anywhere from two to three times a week. The hand book clearly states that there should be verbal warnings and then written warning and no salary increase untill problem is resolved. I am shocked that The board let things get this far out of hand. This is small co. and I think the office manager( co-worker) thinks she is running the show since she got the supervisor fired to.
Should we contact a lawyer or just let it go. There is more but you really dont want to hear it.
Should we pursue it? She doesn,t want her job back but would like the board to realize that there is more going on.
