Found this heifer had calved late this evening. Almost missed her. She sure blended in the sedge grass well but her calf gave the hiding spot away.

I bought her as a yearling and put some feed to her. She bred reasonably quick. I'll see what she does with this calf. Hopefully she'll hang around a long time.

I've got a young Braford about to have her second calf, she just turned 3. We had a cow like yours make it to 17.

Have always liked those brindle cows...
Knew the possibility was there - and was hoping for - some brindle heifers out of red/red-carrier cows, bred to Braunvieh sires. Got 3 NICE brindle heifers in last year's calf crop... hoping for more this spring.
Have one black ANxSH cow who shows really dark brindling over her top... she's getting a straw of Braunvieh semen at her next breeding.

I've got one. Her Momma is solid black and the bull was a gray Brahman. She was almost white at birth.

I sure like the look of those brindle cows, but I'd take a beating up here. There should be a thread of them, though. I always like those types of threads. She sure is beautiful, thanks for sharing.
