I guess we'll still call this "spring calving", even though there's snow left on the ground. First one was a bull calf by Foresight born Saturday, the 26th. He and his momma are headed to the sale barn, so we didn't get her up and weigh him but he's a nice looking calf. We've got several more in the calving pasture, due Jan 2, 3 and 5. That's if they're safe to the AI date and they all look like it. Heifers should start about the middle of January. My favorite time of the year.
