Very nice calves Jake. How old is the last heifer? Is the second calf a bull or steer? Who's the sire of these moneymaking machines?

steer, out of a 1/8 simmi bull we raised

heifer out of a home raised VDAR Lucy's Boy grandson and a part simmi cow. I'll post a pic of the cow when I get photobucket working, they're marking are carbon copies.

nice calves ... like they say heck of a bull.......one photo this one from a distance still can see he's nice.. but thats the thing about good cattle can be spotted at a glance you dont have to sell me on them they speak for their self

Very nice set of cattle Jake.. you're doing good!

On the picture of the udder.. is that cow quiet enough you can walk to her and touch her? She's got those nasty old sores on her teats.. if you're not careful she could get an infection. If you could smear on some udder balm it would help.

I love that old school house!

It looks like your doing a heck of a job Jake! Very nice cattle and the bull looks mighty fine!

Nice set of cows. First picture reminds me of what spring used to look like before the drought. The only thing I would do different would be to loan you some fly spray.

I'm jealous!!!!!

you should see the rest of the herd, we have a very uniform set of cows and if you look back through some of my old photos you can see the bull that "yonder" is out of. I'll see if I can find a close up or just doctor that pic. He's stout, but he's carbon copy to two half brothers. They are on their final stint as we are phasing the Lucy Boy bulls out of our herd as the old bull is 8 and the genetics have run their course. I'll see abotu getting some pictures of this years heifers sent up.

very poor pictures but they are pictures

you can see the hindquarter he has even in the posture he's in with his legs tucked under him, best photos I have, most are taken very quickly as we're on the run to get to everything.
