I have a calf that does not act just right to me seems kind of droupy may be breathing a little hard ,not bad but some,he is around 4 months old still on the cow. our weather in the last 3 months has been up and down from ice and below 0 to low 80,s has done this several times thought that may have something to do with it ????Ihave some Terra-Vet 200 (oxytetracycline) also have some Bactracillin G. would anyone of these help if he is coming down with something?

Depends what he's got. Droopy and breathing hard is a high probability of being pneumonia... but not always.

IF it's pneumonia, then depends how much you use antibiotics on your place - not much, then oxytet or penicillin might work fine. Use a lot of antibiotics, you probably need something like Nuflor, Baytril, Excede, etc. Talk to your vet.

Weather in the last 3 months is less likely to be involved than weather over the last week.

The calf's temp would be a good starting point. 101.5 is normal.

Any other calves with similar signs? treated anything else? how many calves in this pen? and then the history info in my signature line would be helpful and your vet will probably ask...
