I am looking for a quality health program for my calves . I raise my own calves and sell them at 500-600 lbs of wgt. since I have already missed the market this year I am wanting to vaccinate and send cattle west for sale .How ever I need a good vaccination program to send cattle west can any one tell me what program to use that most all buyer's will accept.I also would like this program to be used in the future only prior to weaning and boostered at weaning.

All of the pharmacutical companys have a health vaccination program that will be recognized. Pfizer has a deal that you can enroll them and get a bunch of paper work to prove they're in the program. I would assume the other compnays have the same deal.

We basically use the Pfizer program and very rarely have to doctor any calves. Anything that qualifies for the VAC34 or VAC45 gets you on the right track.

Most States have a"Beef Quality Assurance program", and usually classes that go with it. Check with your local extension agent or the college/university which has the biggest Ag program in the state your in.
